FMP Exhibtion

These are just some pictures I took of my exhibition

FMP Reflection

My FMP this year was a lot more tougher then my FMP last year.
Last year I had an idea of what I was going to do throughout the whole year, while this year I had no idea of what I was going to do, I had to think of an idea on the spot and although it may sound pathetic, my boyfriend wasn't here either to give me advice and help me out as much and he really is a big help to my work, so this year was pretty tough for me, but I ploughed through it and I'm really happy with what I ended up with.

I really think that I've improved a lot from last year such as my style of drawing, I've tried to step away from my old style, the anime/manga style, and gone for realistic/cartoony which worked out pretty good. One other thing I took from last year is landscapes, according to my teacher there wasn't enough landscapes in my work, so this year I did focus on that, which helped me a lot since I'm usually not that good at backgrounds and landscapes

All together I really enjoyed doing the FMP, although I went some nights without sleep I believe I did a pretty good job and the amount of work that went up in my exhibition was a lot bigger then how much I did last year.
I don't think I'd change much, maybe I would have looked more into making a prototype of my games design but apart from that there's nothing I would change, I am very proud of what I've done and when I do finally go to University I think I'll be ready.

FMP Phobia enemies

I decided to color some of my phobia designs so they looked better on my exhibition wall

FMP Character sheets

For my exhibition I made some character sheets to go up on the wall

Bee fighting pose/blue pencil sketches

I actually forgot to do BB's fighting poses so I drew them up quickly

BB uses its stinger to attack and can lift you up you higher places

I also decided to experiment a little bit more with the blue color pencils Kevin crossley uses, the shade of blue I bought before was too light for me so I ended up buying another darker shade, the sketches aren't the best but its just an example of the new color.

FMP Things I never finished

These are just a few things I never got round to finishing

Sciophobia The fear of shadows

Chaetophobia The fear of hair
Claustrophobia The fear of enclosed spaces

FMP Comietrophobia level design update

I added a bit more light to the cemetery level since it looked too dark when printed out on paper

FMP Agateophobia

Agateophobia the fear of insanity
This level messes with your mind and appears to keep looping over and over again until you reach the end of it

Some of the words in the background are quotes from Alice in wonderland

FMP Thanatophobia level design

This level is the final stage of the fear of death phobia, this is during the apocalypse.

FMP Atephobia level design

This is fear of ruins level like I said before you go through the level and see the bosses back story

FMP Start up screen design

From looking at the start up screens I researched before I decided to make my own,

I looked at the Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-DOS) computer that was made in 1981

To make the title screen look better I put this picture onto my computer and with the help of my boyfriend edited it and added some affects to make it look really good.
From drawing this I came up with the name for my game, I decided to call it Cyberphobia which is the fear of working with computers

FMP Artist Creaturebox

Another two artists I've looked at is Dave Guertin and Greg Baldwin who call themselves the Creature box.
They are illustrators and have done many concept designs for the game called Ratchet and Clank

I love their monster/alien designs and how odd they look, I decided to experiment and make some characters like this as well, I actually quite like them a lot
