Storyboards and Character doodles

I decided to draw some quick storyboards as an experiment

A pregnant woman is dragged through the halls of a casino to the managers office after she look a bet of ownership of her unborn  child.

The casino owner reveals herself as a demon called Lady Luck.

Lady Lucks tells the woman that shes here to take her unborn child but the woman argues that she never meant to make the bet but Lady luck just laughs.

 

 

Lady Luck says "Once a bet has been made it cant be taken back" and then she makes black smoke surround the woman and says "Your greed shall eat alive and your child shall be mine" and then she lets the black mist consume her.

The woman consumed with her own greed became nothing but a Hollow. On the floor laid a crying baby left behind by what once was her mother. Lady Luck picked up the child and said to her while grinning "Your name shall be Umi and you are mine"

After this I came up with the idea that after being taken by Lady Luck after two or three years later that someone kidnapped her to get her away from Lady Luck and gave her to an elderly troll to keep her hidden.
I came up with this design.

The Troll was inspired by this character here from a game called Majora's mask.
